The right bong can make your smoking experience good or bad, so it’s important to get the correct one. You will find lots of different ones available, but knowing which one to choose can be a bit of a headache. This is a quick guide if you’re buying your first bong or you’ve purchased one before but want to do a little extra research before investing some money into another one.
Why might you need a bong?
If you’ve been smoking for a while but want to try something new, a bong is the way forward. It will give you a different experience, and it’s nice to be able to decide how you want to smoke. If you already have a bong, perhaps it’s gotten a little dirty and you don’t want to clean it any more and would rather buy a new one. You might also just want a bigger or better one, or maybe it’s accidentally broken and you can’t seem to repair it or find any other uses for it.
Consider the material
Deciding whether to go with an acrylic or glass bong (the two main materials) can be a tough call, but the main difference is their ability to break. Glass bongs are broken more easily and are generally more expensive to buy, but they are also sleeker than their acrylic and perhaps more practical counterparts. If you’re buying a bong to share with all your friends, an acrylic one might be the better option, just in case anybody is careless and it breaks.
The size is important
Larger bongs are more prone to breaking, and they also take up more space, so think carefully about the size of the bong you’re going to buy. If it’s glass, for example, you might not have space for a large bong where it won’t be easily broken. You could put it on a shelf, but what are the chances of it falling off? Maybe it needs to go on the floor, but will somebody accidentally knock it over? If so, is the floor hard enough to break it if it is made of glass or is there surrounding carpet, which will cushion it and prevent it from being damaged too severely.
Will other people be using it?
If you’re going to let other people use your bong, you might not be too open to the idea of spending a lot of money on it. You don’t have to spend loads on a new bong, but many people who smoke are students are just don’t want to splash out that much. If you’re buying it for using yourself alone, then perhaps you’re willing to invest a little extra cash. You can get more technical bongs, which help to maximise your smoking experience and lifestyle , give you more for the money.
How much are you prepared to spend?
Most of the time, it all comes down to how much you are willing to pay and how fussy you are about the type of bong you’re going to buy. If you have a fair bit of money that you’re willing to part with, you can buy a much better bong. However, if you’re buying one just to try out the difference, consider a cheaper, smaller bong at the start.
